Hello friends:
After discussions with Mono County’s Public Health Officer regarding public gatherings and the COVID-19 Coronavirus, we have decided to postpone our March 26, 2020 Gateway Community Public Workshop for Southern Mono County. As the effort to gather public feedback about sustainable recreation is a critical element of the Initiative, we will be working towards offering the opportunity for effective public input at a later date.
Please make sure to SIGN UP for our email list to stay informed once a new schedule has been determined. We are currently aiming to reschedule the Mammoth Lakes meeting for summer or fall 2020.
Our team will continue doing everything possible to move the Initiative forward over the next several months.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. In the meantime be safe and stay healthy!
Thank you for your understanding!

Why Come?
It’s no secret that Eastern Sierra communities are the gateway to some of the most incredible natural resources and outdoor recreation around. This is one of the things that many of us love about living here and why so many people visit. It is also something that brings unique challenges to the land and our communities.
Your community and region need your help brainstorming ideas that will help make recreation and tourism more sustainable for the people and the land.
Your Role:
Please bring your thoughts about the opportunities and challenges facing Southern Mono County along with ideas for improvements to the recreation infrastructure and programs in your community and area.
Feedback will be used to inform a regional strategy for sustainable recreation and tourism in the Eastern Sierra and to inform future projects.
Come Prepared!
Step 1: Review the meeting agenda (coming soon!)
Step 2: Check out the Project Worksheet (coming soon!)
Step 3: Take a look at the Criteria/Values Worksheet (coming soon!)*
*Based on community input, this document will help us consider if proposed projects support sustainable recreation values.
THIS WORKSHOP WILL FOCUS ON SOUTHERN MONO COUNTY
